We have all had a terrible shock.  My dad died very suddenly following a bad fall where he hit his head.  It resulted in a major bleed on the brain and there was nothing the hospital could do – he died within 24 hours of the fall.

We are all in shock – he was 89 – but a very fit and active 89 and we were planning a big party for his 90th.

Inevitably this has had a huge impact on our family and I am spending a few nights away each week to be with my mum and sisters while we plan the funeral.
